dc.description.abstract Alpha, beta‐unsaturated oximes obtained from the corresponding alpha, beta‐unsaturated ketones on treatment with 2 equivalents of manganese dioxide in refluxing chloroform gives 3,5‐disubstituted isoxazoles in good yields.
