dc.description.abstract Thick films of LaCoO3, having perovskite structure impregnated with indium and palladinium oxides have been used as sensing material for acetonitrile (CH3CN) gas. The sensor response for CH3CN is quite high with good recovery for partial pressure from 3 ppm to 20 ppm between 200 degrees C to 400 degrees C. LaCoO3 has exhibited good response and after impregnation with In2O3 and PdO gave increased sensitivity as well as good recovery. It is assumed that CH3CN is undergoing oxidation reaction on surface of the film. en_US
