dc.description.abstract Present work reports the sup(23)Na, sup(29)Si NMR studies on the Sr sub(0.55) Na sub(0.45) SiO sub(2.775) along with PXRD and ionic conductivity studies. NMR results indicate that Sr sub(0.55) Na sub(0.45) SiO sub(2.775) consists of two phases, one being insulating crystalline alpha-SrSiO sub(3) and other being a Na sup(+) conducting amorphous Na sub(2) Si sub(2) O sub(5). High temperature heat treatment of Sr sub(0.55) Na sub(0.45) SiO sub(2.775) leads to the crystallization of amorphous phase into different polymorphs of Na sub(2) Si sub(2) O sub(5) phase. en_US
