dc.description.abstract	The title compound, [Co sub(2) (C sub(7) H sub(4) NO sub(4)) sub(2)(C sub(10) H sub(8) N sub(2)) sub(2) (H sub(2) O) sub(4)](C sub(7) H sub(4) NO sub(4)) sub(2), consists of a centrosymmetric bimetallic complex charge-balanced by free 4-nitro-benzoate anions. The Co sup(II) ion exhibits a distorted cis-CoN sub(2) O sub(4) octa-hedral coordination environment and the Co...Co separation is 3.326 (2) angstrom. In the crystal, the dications and anions are linked by O-H...O and C-H...O hydrogen bonds.	en_US
