dc.description.abstract The transition between garnet and spinel peridotites, caused by the reaction orthopyroxene + spinel = olivine + garnet, has been envisaged in the harzburgites of Indus Ophiolite Belt based on petrographic and geochemical studies. The reaction has been tested in the light of evidence available from phase equilibrium experiments on such transition. en_US
