India, strategically located in the Indo-Pacific, plays a crucial role in ensuring maritime governance, regional stability, and economic security. As a key global and regional player, India's maritime strategy is critical for maintaining good order at sea, safeguarding its national interests, and strengthening its influence in the Indo-Pacific region. However, despite its geostrategic significance, India's maritime potential remains underutilized, necessitating a comprehensive approach that integrates security and economic priorities. This paper provides an in-depth, comprehensive analysis of India's maritime security framework and the evolving role of its blue economy through the lens of sustainable development theory.
