Abstract:
Fusarium solani can grow in the presence of a number of heavy metals and others like mercury, chromium, aluminium, copper, iron, nickel, lead, cobalt, arsenic, manganese, zinc, lithium. The growth of the culture in medium non-conductive to production of pigment was inhibited by some of these metals. Certain morphological and cultural changes are also observed during growth of the culture in response to metal stress.
