dc.description.abstract A new species of hyphomycete, Stellomyces kendrickii, is described. It produces single, cuneiform or triangular to kite-shaped, unicellular, smooth, colourless, blastic conidia at the tip of each of several very long denticles which radiate from small apical (subsequently intercalary) vesicles on a sympodially extending conidiophore. It was isolated from decaying twigs of Hopea ponga (Dennst.) Mabb. (F.Dipterocarpaceae) in the forests of Western Ghats in southern India. en_US
