dc.description.abstract A new species of Ischaemum L. (Poaceae) from lateritic rocky plateau Goa, India, is described as I. yadavii. This species is similar to L sanatpaui Bor but differs in its crustaceous bulged, lower glume of sessile spikelet; dorsally humped, narrowly winged keel of upper glume of sessile spikelet; and well-developed pedicelled spikelet.
