Abstract:
Tetraphenyl porphyrin (TPP) and Metalloporphyrins (MTPP) were synthesized, where M = Cu and Fe. These compounds were characterized by UV-Visible spectrophotometry, FTIR spectrophotometry, and 1Hmr spectroscopy. Thermal studies of these porphyrins were carried out using TG-DSC analyzer in synthetic air from room temperature to 800 degrees C. The residue was then analyzed qualitatively, which shows presence of respective metals. Further, FeTPPCl was subjected to TG-EGA-MS analysis for the detailed information of evolved gases at corresponding temperatures.
