dc.description.abstract Training is an important aspect in each and every industry but due to some or other reason, some industries do not provide training which decreases the peformance and productivity of the firm. The newly reruited employees do not possess all the required qualities to fulfill the expectations of employer to work on the job as per the requirement of the employer. They need proper guidance and training to prevent some untowards incidents or to perform better for the alloted work. To prepare such employees it is the duty of the employer to provide sufficient training and make them effective on the job. The study highlights on the qualities possessed and required by the employees and whether training for the employees help to increase the performance and productivity of the employees.
