A detailed study of Jaisalmer (Middle Jurassic) Formation in Western India was undertaken to describe their sedimentologic texture and using some of the available techniques of environments and transportation mechanisms. This study suggests that these sands are mostly fluvial transported mainly by saltation and suspension processes and deposited in a nearshore beach to shallow marine environment.
