Abstract:
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has developed into a modern technique that holds tremendous potential for biomedical applications. In the coming years, it is believed that SERS will be used in real-world applications such as disease diagnostics and biosensing and will provide valuable information of biochemical processes. SERS can provide vital information that are cannot be obtained from conventional analytical methods such as fluorescence. SERs will become portable and cost-effective tool for pharmacological applications such as drug discovery and disease diagnostics.
