Abstract:
Research in 3D biometric face recognition has established its firm base as it is capable of addressing the issues like the variation in facial poses, angles, occlusions etc. In recent era the low cost, 3D Kinect camera sensor is used for capturing 3D images. The output of 3D Kinect camera is of low resolution thus even a slight change in the parameters or the environmental conditions incorporates information loss i.e. patch in the depth image. In this paper we have formulated some patch removal filters and the recognition & verification rates are computed for the GU-RGBD database.
