dc.description.abstract Twenty-five new taxa of conidial fungi are described and illustrated from forest litter in the Western Chats in southern India, and from the Andaman Islands. They include the new anamorph-genera Vanakripa and Xenoheteroconium, and new species of Anavirga, Arthrinium, Bahusutrabeeja, Beltrania, Cheiropolyschema, Craspedodidymum, Cryptophiale, Dictyochaeta, Dischloridium, Fusichalara, Hyphopolynema, Kostermansinda, Phialosporostilbe, Phragmotrichum, Piricaudiopsis, Selenodriella, Spadicoides, Sporidesmiopsis, Sporoschisma and Uberispora. In addition, new combinations are made in Craspedodidymum, Dictyochaeta, and Sporidesmiopsis. en_US
