Abstract:

Lead tetraacetate oxidation of (+)-maaliol and (-)-guaiol has led to the production of one trinor-4,5-secoeudesmane and two 4,5-secoeudesmane compounds from maaliol and 1,2-dehydroguaioxide from guaiol.
