Abstract:
In this work, gold nanoparticles coated titanium dioxide surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates were fabricated and tested. Amorphous titanium dioxide nanotubes with different geometry were prepared by anodization and subsequent spin-coating of gold nanoparticles is done. SERS signal enhancement for the effective detection of rhodamine 6G molecules is studied using these substrates. SERS enhancement factor of the substrates was dependent on the geometry of nanotubes and plasmonic photonic interference coupling (P-PIC). Analytical SERS enhancement factor of the substrates was estimated with respect to reference materials.
