The Indian Ocean, often called the "Indian Ocean Rim", due to the multitude of nations it borders, serves as a vital conduit for international trade, energy transportation, and geopolitical maneuvering. In this dynamic maritime theater, India's role emerges as pivotal, shaping and being shaped by a complex interplay of economic aspirations, security imperatives, and geopolitical dynamics.
