Echinosphaeria pteridis sp.nov.and its anamorph, Vermiculariopsiella pteridis sp.nov., was isolated as an endophyte from a pteridophyte, Pteris vittata, collected from the Western Ghats in India. This is the second report of culture-based teleomorph-anamorph connection in Vermiculariopsiella.
