Microsporum appendiculatum sp. nov., characterized by fusimfonn, phragmo septate, ecbinuiate, hyaline and apically 1-setulate conidia, developing on short conidophores and isolated from goat dong, from Goa, India is described and illustrated. It is compared with other known species of the genus Microsporum.
