Abstract:
The study aims to examine the effect of age on Psychological Contract Breach and employee outcomes amongst Tourism and Hospitality workers in India. Data for the study was collected from 356 participants working in four and five start hotels in India. One-way ANOVA, and Hierarchical Multiple Regression were used to analyse the data. The findings reveal that age significantly affects job satisfaction, organizational citizenship behavior, perceived organizational support, turnover intention and Psychological Contract Breach. Additionally, age moderate the relationship between turnover intention and psychological contract breach with a buffering effect. This indicates that, as the employee age increases the negative effect of Psychological Contract Breach decreases. The findings can be made use of when developing age-friendly workplace policies for the Indian tourism and hospitality sector
